Brunello Rosa is a macroeconomist and strategist. He is author of “Smart Money. How digital currencies will win the new Cold War – and why the West needs to act now.” He is the CEO and Head of Research at Rosa & Roubini Associates, an independent macro-financial and geo-political advisory firm he co-founded with renowned economist Nouriel Roubini. He previously served as co-Head of Research and Managing Director at Roubini Global Economics which he joined from the Bank of England (where he worked in Markets, Financial Stability and its Centre for Central Banking Studies), having started at IDEAglobal, a market intelligence company. Brunello Rosa holds a number of policy advisory positions at the European Investment Bank, the UK Parliament, the Bank of England, and the Italian Embassy in the UK.
Brunello Rosa is a Visiting Professor at City, University of London. He is a Senior Executive Fellow at Bocconi University’s Business School, after being Visiting Professor for several years. He is also an Associate of the Centre For Macroeconomics of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he is leader of the Executive Education course in Global Macroeconomic Challenges. Brunello holds a master’s degree in finance and economics from the London School of Economics and a laurea cum laude in economics from the University of Siena in Italy.
