Kunal Jhanji

Kunal Jhanji is a Managing Director and Partner in BCG’s Financial Institutions practice in London.
He leads BCG’s payments practice across Europe, Middle East. Africa and South America, and sits
on BCG’s Global Payments Management Team. He also led the Digital Assets, Networks and
Market Infrastructure segment globally before taking on the current role.
He has extensive experience working on payments topics with banks, core payments providers
(schemes, acquirers, PSPs) and non-banks (regulators, merchants, fintechs).
He regularly contributes to thought leadership and industry events, and is a co-author of BCG’s
Global Payments Report and a lead contributor into BCG’s Global Payments Model.
Before joining BCG, he was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, EY and Deloitte in their
FS strategy teams in London.

He served as the Head of Policy at Open Banking Implementation Entity (on secondment from
OW) between May 2017 – April 2018 and was also a Strategic Advisor to the Entity.
Kunal has attended Executive Leadership and Management programmes at Wharton and INSEAD.
He holds a Masters in Management from Warwick Business School.
